Kenji Fukuda was born in 1943, in the city of Indiana, São Paulo. Under the orientation of his father, the plastic artist Tamotsu Fukuda, initiated himself in the painting as a figurative artist: still life, pictures and landscapes. In the 80's, he initiated his abstractionist phase traveling around the world, displaying in the most known Europeans and American galleries. His sculptures and screens can be found in the collection of great Brazilian institutions, in Geneva, Switzerland, Miami, New York, Paris and Iwakuni in Japan. With apparently informal forms, Fukuda works deeply his creation; which has as base on the eastern signs. Technical virtuosity is characteristic of his art that transmit, beyond beauty, strength and much slightness. |
